Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has revealed that he is pursuing a Master’s Degree. Speaking during a press conference in his office on Tuesday, Joho said scoring a D- in his KCSE exam did not end his dreams in life.According to the governor, he took his poor performance in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) as a challenge to soar higher. “Yes, I am a holder of a D minus but I have been able to change that into real progress. And so that you know, even now I am a student of an MBA,”he said. The county boss has hit headlines in the past few days after the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) claimed that he forged his KCSE certificate. The governor, however, rubbished the allegations saying he stands for nothing but the truth, adding that he is ready to be investigated over the matter. The Coastal political kingpin attributed his poor performance in high to the hard life he went through to make ends meet as well as pay his school fees.He recalled how he worked as a porter just to support his family. “I worked as a porter here at the Old Port and I used to be paid Sh80 after loading every truck from those yachts that come from Somalia; carrying either scrap or TVs, whatever the cargo that was imported,” said Joho.
