Speaking after a closed-door meeting with Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, Joho said that he is ready to work with President Kenyatta in a bid to transform the region following his re-election.

Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi have been strong critics of the Jubilee regime. The two were accusing the Jubilee government of failing to honor its promises to the residents of the Coastal region.

The invitation comes after President Uhuru and NASA leader Raila Amolo Odinga attended the National Prayer Services. The meeting was also attended by Former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka.

The two leaders have pledged to work together to reunite Kenyans. Uhuru asked Raila to forgive him following the dirty campaigns in 2017.

“We have campaigned against one other, we have said nasty things about one another, we hurt one another and on my behalf ndugu I ask for your forgiveness and I tender my apology,” said President Kenyatta.

His sentiments were re-echoed by Deputy President William Ruto, who also apologized to Kalonzo and other leaders of the opposition.

“I want to say to my brother Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, for all the things I said, or did, I want to ask forgiveness, and in following with the president, tender my apology,” he said, extending his hand to Mr Musyoka for the embrace.
