Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has said he has no apologies to make to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking during an ODM rally in Kisauni, the firebrand Governor who has taken on the President on various issues affecting Mombasa County said his interest is to fight for the rights of his people.“Kama kutetea watu wangu ni matusi, basi tunatukana tena leo hapa Kisauni. Nikisema utendakazi wa bandari usihamishwe kutoka Mombasa, I've no apologies to make my friend. Nikisema watu wangu wasilipishwe mashamba, ni haki yao na lazima wakae kama wakenya wengine. Kama haya ni matusi, nayarudia tena hapa, I've no apologies to make (If defending my people amounts to insults, then today I’m here in Kisauni to insult him again. When I say that Port operations should not be moved from Mombasa, I’ve no apologies to make my friend…..if these are insults, I’ll repeat them here),” said Joho amid cheers from the crowd. The county boss accused the President of ignoring the plight of Likoni people, and asked the locals to reject him on the ballot in the August 8 polls.According to Joho, Uhuru will not achieve the tally of 64,793 votes he got in Mombasa during the 2013 elections.
