Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has said the current government is to blame for the ailing sugar industry in the nation. The county boss, who spoke during ODM's National Delegates Convention at Kasarani stadium on Friday said the Jubilee leadership has been exporting milk to Uganda and then importing sugar into the country, a move that he says has affected sugarcane farmers."We know they are exporting milk to Uganda and importing sugar and selling it expensively as our own industries close down," said Joho, as quoted by the Nation.Meanwhile, Joho has defended Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka over allegations that his foundation has been engaging in money laundering. The governor said Kalonzo is a clean man, adding that Jubilee wants to weaken NASA ahead of the August polls through unacceptable means."We know Kalonzo very well. He is as white as snow. That drama you are trying to drag him into will not work,” he said.
