Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho on Tuesday led a NASA team to the Northern Eastern area of Mandera, as the team seeks to battle for votes in the area.

Together with H.E Kalonzo Musyoka, H.E Musalia Mudavadi and other NASA leaders, the leaders spearheaded the message of NASA in the region with RallIies at Mandera's bus park and Geneva grounds.

The team moved to assure the residents of Mandera that the NASA government will make sure that it improves the road network, investigate and act on extra judicial killings.

The leaders claimed not much has been done in the area to ensure there is maximum security, further promising not to discriminate on the issuance of National identity cards and passports.

The region is considered a swing vote by many, but the alliance opposition inisists they will reap big in the August elections.

The opposition, under Cord, in 2013 garnered 50 per cent of the votes in the region, making it an interesting battle with only 3 weeks left to the general elections.

They urged the locals to vote for change in the polls, saying they stand for the best intrests of the country.
