Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has challenged members of Kikuyu community to vote opposition leader Raila Odinga in 2017 elections.
Joho said Odinga would transform lives of all Kenyans without discrimination adding that the community was suffering from poor leadership.
The ODM Deputy Party leader backed Odinga’s presidency saying that it would help solve historical injustices in the country.
“I want to challenge my friends from Central Kenya to dismiss leaders who always preach hatred on some Kenyans. They are cheated that Odinga is a bad leader which is not the case,” he said.
“I welcome them to vote Odinga in 2017, by joining many other Kenyans of goodwill to change this poor leadership. We are suffering same problems yet the president comes from the region,” he added.
Joho, a close ally of Odinga has been instrumental in revamping of the Orange party in recent days by holding a series of rallies across the country.
