The outcome of the general elections in Kilifi and Mombasa does not reflect the will of the people, Jubilee and Kadu Asili leaders have claimed.
Kadu Asili Kilifi gubernatorial candidate, Kazungu Kambi claimed that Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi and his Mombasa counterpart Hassan Joho bribed their way to power.Kambi’s remarks come after a number of cheques and other voting materials were found in a bag said to belong to three presiding officers. The three IEBC officials were arrested on Wednesday at Lagos bar in Kaloleni.Kambi said that he had received information from one of his agents that the two governors were in town, but could not confirm the reports because he arrived in the area after the leaders had left. According to the Standard, Kingi on Thursday declined to comment on the matter and promised to issue a statement after he receives his certificate from the county returning officer.Kingi and Joho have retained their seats after trouncing their opponents with huge margins.
