Mombasa County Governor Hassan Joho has heaped praises on the ongoing devolution conference in Meru, saying it will create a larger platform for county bosses to share and learn new ideas that will foster development in their regions.
Joho said through such events, county leaders can forget their political differences and merge in ensuring sustainable growth and development in the country.
“It is with much joy as we commemorate the third year of devolution in Meru County. The conference has provided a platform that allows inter-county engagement through sharing of best practices and challenges in the counties,” said Joho on a Facebook post on Thursday.
County leaders are expected to discuss a number of issues pertaining their regions during the conference.
The conference which kicked off on Wednesday at Meru National Polytechnic will come to an end on Friday.
