Mombasa Governor Hassan Ali Joho has reshuffled the County’s Sub-county Administration in a fresh plan to improve service delivery to citizens at the grassroots.

The job transfers affect both the Sub-county and Ward Administrators and will take effect immediately.

In the new changes, Changamwe Sub-county Administrator John Kuti will move to Kisauni as the Sub-county Administrator while Rachael Kavata who has been the Ward Administrator for Junda Ward and has also been Acting as the Sub-county Administrator for Kisauni, will move to Changamwe as the new Acting Sub-county Administrator.

Mwalimu Mohammed who was the Sub-county Administrator for Jomvu has been moved to Likoni whereas Ali Mwachamanga who was the Subcounty Administrator for Likoni, moved to Jomvu Sub-county. 

Acting Mvita Sub-county Administrator Salim Kingi, will still remain in Mvita in Acting capacity. The same is also the case for Evans Mwamuye who is Acting Sub-county Administrator for Nyali Sub-county.

Majority of Ward Administrators who total 30 in number, have been moved to new wards across the six sub counties. 

The changes were announced on Friday during a brief meeting between the Sub-county Coordinator Idris Abdirahman, Assistant Directors and the Sub-ounty Administrators at the Deputy Governor Dr William Kingi’s Board room.

During the meeting, Sub-county Administrators were also handed over the redeployment letters.Idris Abdirahman acknowledged the changes saying he looks forward to a new season of better service delivery to citizens.

“Today we have witnessed the re-organization of the Sub-county Administration to further boost services. So far as a team we have made great strides since assuming office," he said.

"Congratulations on your new appointments and I wish you all the best," he told the Sub-county and Ward Administrators.

He further urged residents to accord the officials maximum support and cooperation as they discharge their duties.
