Days after an alleged attempt on his life in Migori County, ODM deputy party leader Ali Hassan Joho met party leaders from the County.

Their talks revolved around violence and how best such incidents can be avoided as the party heads to nominations.

They met in Nairobi led by as ODM Migori chairman Philip Odero Makabongo, Treasurer Elkanah Kauda, and Alfred Mdaisi, Monday.

The leaders condemned the violence that occurred, April 3, and reiterated their support for the party.

''I am pleased to have such dedicated officials of ODM,'' said the Mombasa governor, who was almost killed in the violence.

As part of the party processes, Joho further said ODM would take a very strong stand against all forms of violence.

This is after he attended the ODM committee meeting on the events surrounding the Migori incident.

''I urge the committee to expedite the process and take action. This action should serve as an example to all those intending and planning to perpetrate violence in our electoral processes.''

He added: "I also warn those involved in this kind of politics from all over the country, there's no room for violence in ODM.''

The Disciplinary Committee meeting was held at the Mashpark Hotel.
