They discussed a range of issues including the accrued benefits of the Mombasa Allydina Road bridge and lighting project. Beyond an uncertain economic future for Mombasa, Joho said the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) project land compensation program has had some deleterious effects on the people of Jomvu Miritini. "Ancestral interests of populations without titles have been overlooked. This is an issue we have spoken about repeatedly during the project implementation life cycle. We expect this to be addressed in the future," Joho said, Tuesday.He affirmed his commitment to the people of Jomvu, saying he needed another term to complete his development projects.Joho also asked residents to vote for the Nasa alliance in August 8, saying it had their interest at heart.
