Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho is mourning the untimely death of his close friend, Jean Pierre Tutin.
The deceased once served as the Head of Cooperation and Cultural Affairs for French embassy in Kenya. The second term county boss, who is out of the country, took to Twitter to share the sad news.
“It is with deep shock and sorrow that I have received the news of the sudden demise of my friend Mr. Jean Pierre Tutin. “Until his demise, Mr. Tutin served as the Head of Cooperation and Cultural Affairs France in Kenya,” he tweeted.
He further said that he had worked with the deceased on several projects in the tourism and other sectors as he seeks to transform the economy of the county during his second term in office.
Joho added: "Together we had laid a project that aimed at revamping the Mombasa tourism sector through the conception of cultural products and scenography of this great city. We have lost a brilliant mind who had passion for preservation of our culture. May his soul Rest in Eternal Peace.May his soul rest in peace."
Details of the cause of death and burial of the former envoy remain scanty.
