Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho is confident he will trounce his opponents come August.Joho said his rivals will be rendered jobless after this year's general election.“They’re committing political suicide because after August 8, they’ll be jobless,” Joho said as quoted by the Star.He said some of the aspirants seem to know much but in essence, have nothing to offer.“When you look closely, the person who undermines your capability and thinks you are dumb is the dumbest,” he added.Recent opinion polls have put the county boss in a commanding lead against his rivals; Senator Hassan Omar, MP Hezron Awiti and Suleiman Shahbal.Joho who is under investigations over his academic papers further dismissed plans to bar him from running in in the August 8 polls.He said there were plans to bar him in 2007 when he contested for the Kisauni parliamentary seat as well as in 2013 when he ran for the governor's post but they failed.He added that 2017 will not be any different.He made the remarks on Thursday at his Prima Binns office where he addressed over 900 youth who had undergone a training programme on entrepreneurship that was funded by the county government.
