The verbal war pitying Mombasa governor Hassan Joho and Deputy President William Ruto escalated on Sunday as Joho claimed that the DP was a ‘thief.’
Joho said it was a fact that the Jubilee administration had looted billions of the taxpayers’ money.
The Mombasa governor brushed off Rift Valley Council of Elders request that required him to apologise to Ruto for calling him a thief.
The elders had warned that they would curse Joho if he failed to honor their petition.
Instead, Joho nicknamed the DP ‘Arap Mashamba.’
Joho, once again dismissed the government’s plans of transferring port services from Mombasa to Naivasha.
DP Ruto had called Joho an academic dwarf for his stand on establishment of a dry port in Naivasha.
Calling the DP an academic fool, Mvita MP said Joho was speaking on behalf of Mombasa residents who are directly affected by the Mombasa port.
Accompanied by Kilifi Women representative Aisha Jumwa, Kwale Senator Juma Boy, Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori among others, the leaders were speaking during a rally at Likoni Bomani grounds, Mombasa County.
