The ODM party has summoned Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho and his Migori counterpart Okoth Obado, following chaos that erupted in Migori recently.
During the party's Central Committee meeting, held Friday under the leadership of party leader Raila Odinga, ODM condemned the violence, saying such incidents would not be tolerated.
The party also summoned Kisumu senator Anyang' Nyong'o, his Siaya counterpart James Orengo, MPs Junet Mohammed (Suna East), Achillo Ayacko (Rongo), and John Pesa.
Philip Nyakabong' who was in Migori during the violence was also summoned.
"The Party’s Central Committee condemns unreservedly the acts of violence in the named counties and constituencies and hereby mandates the Disciplinary Committee to convene and speedily dispose of these matters. The Central Committee expects to receive the Disciplinary Committee report not later than Tuesday 11th April, 2017,'' said the Raila-led party.
Through secretary general Dr Agnes Zani, ODM also condemned cases of violence that waa erupted by Ruaraka constituency parliamentary aspirants Nominated senator Elizabeth Ongoro, incumbent MP TJ Kajwang', MCA Ochola and Abel Osumba Atito.
In Mathare, Antony Oluoch and MCA Peter Owera were asked to appear before the Committee.
''Please note the (following are) summoned (should) to appear before Disciplinary Committee in person and without being accompanied by supporters on Monday 10th April, 2017 at Orange House,'' said Zani.
