The County government of Mombasa has given a lifting hand to the young people of Mombasa through a portion of the Elimu Fund program.

The Departments of Youth and Education through the leadership of Lewa Tendai, facilitated the training of over 900 young men and women.

The program was designed to impart entrepreneurship and life skills that would enable the youth to be employable or start their own businesses and lead dignified lives.

Area governor Hassan Ali Joho said the policy of the County government of Mombasa was to ensure as many of young people were equipped with vocational skills to earn themselves a living.

''My personal story of God’s grace in adversity is one that I am thankful for. If it wasn't for the lifting hand of others I wouldn't be where I am today. We shall not relent even in the face of inadequate support on devolution in this endeavor,'' Joho said, Thursday.
