Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho, has expressed satisfaction, after the ODM party leader Raila Odinga, was named the Nasa coalition flag-bearer,.
Joho who is Raila's deputy in ODM, took to social media, and expressed his feelings, after the announcement was made, Thursday April 27, ahead of the August 8, elections.
Below is Joho's statement:
''Today I am thankful to God, that He has seen me to this point, that I have witnessed first-hand the formation of the most formidable pre-election coalition this country has ever seen.
On this day, I thank the NASA Flag-bearer and incoming President of Kenya, the Rt. Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga, the incoming Deputy President H.E Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, incoming Premier Moses Musalia Mudavadi and our two Deputy Premieres Sen. Moses Wetangula and Gov. Isaac Ruto for each of their sacrifices. History shall forever be kind to each of you.
There's a bright rainbow over the country today, a new dawn is here. I urge Kenyans to seize this moment through their vote on August 8/2017 to usher in a new and fair future for us, our children and our grandchildren. Let the sound of the drums of victory, reach every hill and valley in this great land. Let the message of love, peace and fairness reach every heart, that we may usher in a new tomorrow through NASA.
