Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho received a heroic welcome in Kisumu, on his way from the ongoing 5th Devolution Conference in Kakamega on Wednesday.
The ODM Deputy Party Leader met to greet the people of Kisumu at famous Kondele roundabout.
Accompanied by host Deputy Governor Dr Ochieng Owili and his Deputy Governor Dr William Kingi, they were received in cheers and Joho-support chants as residents demanded that he addresses them.
The residents had earlier requested a public address by the popular governor famously known as 'Governor 001'.
Joho highlighted his full support for the 'golden' handshake between his party leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta and encouraged other leaders to do the same.
He reaffirmed his support for Odinga indicating that he will always be behind him.
