Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has renewed his rivalry with the Jubilee administration.Joho has warned the government against intimidating National Super Alliance (NASA) deputy flag bearer Kalonzo Musyoka.Speaking at the Safaricom Stadium Kasarani in Nairobi during ODM National delegates meeting on Friday, Joho said they will not allow the Jubilee administration to harass or intimidate Kalonzo. The Mombasa governor accused Jubilee of political witch-hunt saying the UhuRuto administration wants to undermine Kalonzo’s political ambitions.Joho alleged that Jubilee is planning to financially cripple Kalonzo Musyoka by completely shutting his foundation over allegations of money laundering.“We are sending a strong warning to the Jubilee government to stop intimidating Kalonzo Musyoka,” he said. The county boss claimed that Jubilee is now targeting Kalonzo after continuously frustrating him (Joho).“After fighting and frustrating my work they have now turned their heat on Kalonzo, we will not allow them,” Joho said. The Mombasa governor claimed that Jubilee is not happy seeing NASA leaders work together, adding that they (Jubilee) are plotting to divide the alliance. On Tuesday, the Non-Governmental Organization Coordination Board suspended operations at the Kalonzo Musyoka foundation. The Board accused the foundation of allegedly operating secret illegal bank accounts. The Fazul Mohamed-led Board also claimed that the foundation was allegedly engaging in money laundering.Kalonzo, however, dismissed the allegations saying the foundation has been operating legally. The Wiper leader instead blamed Deputy President William Ruto accusing him of having a hand in his foundation woes.A section of Jubilee politicians have since hit out at Kalonzo telling him to stop dragging DP Ruto into his troubles.
