Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has said that he will  hold parallel rallies with Jubilee in Mombasa.

According to Joho,he will not allow the county to slip from NASA’s grip to Jubilee on his watch. He vowed not to be cowed by Jubilee, saying the intimidation and authoritarian tactics meted out on him by President Uhuru Kenyatta will not deter him from advocating residents’ interests.

“Now that it’s time for campaign, I’ll take Jubilee Party head-on. If they hold a rally in Likoni, I‘ll hold one in Mvita. If they go to Kisauni, I’ll pitch tent in Nyali — same day, same time and same minute. Then the people will decide,” he said.

He further  accused Uhuru of mocking the Rabai people by claiming that the chairman of the Jubilee Party comes from Rabai and that the region is well represented in Jubilee. “That is a pure lie. Then why can’t he appoint him [Dzuya] the head of Public Service in his administration if he has the people of Rabai at heart,” Joho said.
