Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has insisted that their quest to push for secession is irreversible.
NASA has continued the push to have electoral and constitutional change, with secession being top on the list.
Responding to Najib Balala, who accused Joho of pushing his agenda, Joho said the Coast region will benefit more from the secession.
Jubilee has insisted that there will be no secession, with Coastal leaders allied to the ruling party saying the region will not be part of it.
“People will feel their voices count and marginalisation will no longer be used as a political tool, but for positive action,” Joho said as quoted by the star.
“We will make every person understand why the journey to secession is irreversible,” he added.
County assemblies in areas allied to NASA coalition have passed a Bill to institute the people’s assemblies.
The coalition's leader Raila Odinga is set to return to the country today, Friday, and is expected to push for constitutional and electoral change, which were some of the reasons he gave for pulling out of the October 26 elections.
