NASA leaders will ensure there’s no room to rig the fresh presidential election, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has said.
The county boss said the opposition alliance has a concrete plan to guard Raila Odinga’s votes. Joho, who was speaking during a rally in Mathare, Nairobi on Sunday, said NASA leaders will pitch tents in different parts of the nation to guard Raila’s votes, adding that Babu Owino and Steve Mbogo will camp in Kiambu to ensure the polls are conducted in a credible manner.“I will send Babu Owino and Steve Mbogo to Kiambu to guard the votes, and then I will go to Nyeri. We will guard every vote,” said Joho, as quoted by the Nation. On his part, Raila maintained that he won the August 8 election, arguing that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) denied him the victory he rightfully deserved. “Had the IEBC agreed to open the servers, there would have been no need to go for a fresh poll. I would have just been declared the winner. We won! We beat him by 1.5 million votes, and we will do it again,” said Raila.
