This is after the National Examination Council (NEC) stated that Joho's KCSE result slips were fake, following a request for verification from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.

Speaking on Monday, Joho's spokesperson Richard Chacha said the Mombasa county boss has genuine certificates and he will seek help from former classmates and teachers to prove his documents.

"His classmates and teacher's are all over Mombasa. They can confirm that these allegations are fake. This is just a desperate move by the Jubilee Government to bring him [Joho] down," Chacha disclosed to kenyans.co.ke.

In a letter to the Director of Criminal Investigations Ndegwa Muhoro, KNEC's acting Chief Executive, Ms Mercy Gathigia Karogo, highlighted that a copy of Joho's results slip was obtained from a forged document.
