Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has been asked to apologise to DP William Ruto and also keep off his affairs as they are not in the same league.
A section of North Rift youths who hit out at the Mombasa county boss said he is getting too personal with his continued attacks on the DP.
Led by Kerio Youths Association chairman Joel Kimaiyo, they accused Joho of tarnishing Ruto’s image.
“It is sad that the Governor can utter such outrageous statements to tarnish the image of the DP. This is nonsense... We are not going to allow this anymore,” said Kimaiyo as quoted by the Star.
This was in reference to Joho’s claims that Ruto is a public land grabber.
“We want the Governor to tell us of the land he claims Ruto has grabbed. We are not taking this matter lightly,” he added.
They threatened to sue Joho if he does not apologise to Ruto.
On reports about Ruto’s remarks on Joho’s academic credentials, Kiamiyo said; “Joho should know he is not in the same league as Ruto, as far as politics is concerned. Ruto is the Deputy President and Joho is a Governor in charge of a county. Period."
