Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has told President Uhuru Kenyatta that his numerous trips to the cost will not earn him any votes during the August polls.
Joho, who was speaking ahead of Uhuru’s visit to Coast on Saturday, stated that’s the Head of State will not get any vote from the region due to the dominance of the opposition.
“On August 9, those who are talking too much will shut down for good,” Joho affirmed.
President Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto will be in the region to campaign.
The two are expected in Taita-Taveta County where he will launch the BuraMission Road and inspect the Mwatate-Wundanyi road.
Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi have been criticizing the Head of State for claiming ownership of donor funded projects.
