President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday broke his silence over escalating feud between him and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, advising him to ‘mind’ his own business.
On Sunday, Joho had warned that he will demand answers on accountability of the modern railway (SGR) project which he insists that the cost was exaggerated.
But on a brief stopover at Changamwe, Uhuru said he was keen to deliver to Kenyans and urged the governor to concentrate on his own projects.
“I am launching my own projects which I believe will benefit Kenyans. It is of little essence that someone like your Governor is bothered with my work.
“It’s time that he launches his own and minds his own business. I am disinterested with his political attitude,” Kenyatta said.
Earlier this year, Joho had his security details withdrawn after a podium confrontation with the president over Jubilee’s development record in the Coast.
And on Wednesday, Governor Joho’s convoy was again blocked from accessing the main function where Kenyatta was scheduled to officially launch the SGR.
