Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has lashed out at Deputy President William Ruto for addressing the issue of corruption in public rallies saying the government is doing little to tame the vice.
According to Joho, it is clear that President Uhuru and his deputy are not interested in fighting graft.
Speaking at a baraza in Mombasa on Tuesday, Joho said Ruto right has no right to talk about corruption claiming he is among those involved in the vice.
“I have no hatred at all, but public property must be protected,” said Joho, as quoted by Citizen.
The county boss claimed Ruto was involved in corruption and gave an example of the alleged grabbing of the Langata Primary School’s playground in Nairobi.
The outspoken politician also said the Jubilee administration has mismanaged public funds since the leaders took over power after the 2013 general election.
“They have spoilt our money without mercy,” he said.
The ODM deputy party leader said President Uhuru should lead the nation in the fight against graft and not protect anyone who has been involved in the vice in one way or another.
