Mombasa County Governor Ali Hassan Joho has slammed ODM Party defectors assuring aspirants that ODM will hold free, fair and competitive nominations.
While speaking in Mombasa after getting back from the US Joho reiterated that not even party leader, Raila Odinga, can give a direct nomination to any candidate.
“Don’t look for me or Raila Odinga to give the party nominations. The nominations ticket will come from the citizens,” said Joho.
Joho further said that the National Super Alliance Coalition would adopt any nomination method, joint or separate, that would ascertain cohesion among parties in the coalition.
Joho disclosed that NASA has formed a committee of 12 members tasked with developing a nomination formula acceptable to all parties.
“We in Mombasa and in ODM will abide by their decision. If they want us to hold joint nominations we are ready, if they want us individual parties to conduct their nominations, we are still ready,” said Joho.
