The appointment which was effected on Tuesday, will now see Colonel Njuguna replace Colonel David Obonyo.

The shift did not go well with the county boss who accused the president of being 'tribal' in his appointments, claiming that only two communities have benefited from the Jubilee regime.

“It cant be possible that one tribe is at the top of our defence team. Just the other day, he appointed Robert Kariuki Kibochi to be the commander in charge of the Army and now the spokesman has been picked from the same tribe. In which direction is this country heading to?” asked Joho.

Joho also took issue with the composition of the NIS and the CID departments, saying they are all led by people from the same tribe, something he termed as dangerous for the country.

He now wants MPs to introduce a Bill that will ensure appointments are done in moderation, with different departments having full representation from all the 42 tribes in Kenya.
