Mombasa County Governor Hassan Joho has criticized the State House Tourism summit hosted by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The governor termed the summit as a public relations stunt.
He further accused Tourism CS Najib Balala of failing to invite him despite the county hosting the event.
"How can CS Balala talk about involving county governments yet he doesn't invite the host and Coast counties to such a forum," read Joho's tweet.
The governor called for involvement of all stakeholders in such forums.
"We could dialogue together as stakeholders if only we were invited to the forum. Dialogue is key in creating synergy,” said Joho.
Such PR exercises will not advance our tourism. Let's have real conversations with everyone on board,” he added.
In February, Joho accused Uhuru of snubbing him during his visit to the Coast region.
Balala has however denied the claims saying counties were invited through Council of Governors' Tourism Committee.
