Fiery Mombasa governor Hassan Joho has reignited his verbal exchanges with Deputy President William Ruto and has warned that his political career will be over.
In recent weeks, the two politicians have been engaging in nasty political exchanges with the DP occasionally questioning Joho’s intellectual capability.
At Mtwapa on Sunday, Ruto wandered why the DP was getting a raw deal despite periodically calling him ‘stupid’.
“This thief calling me stupid should instead question his own thinking. In maintain that he is stupid because he knows nothing,” he said.
He added: “if he was cleaver, I expected him to ensure SGR passes through Eldoret to help his people. He should not come here undermining leaders.”
Although he has not made it official, the Mombasa governor is expected to rival Ruto in 2022 presidential elections.
More often, Joho has persistently claimed that the DP should be probed for alleged land grabbing across the country.
