Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has said the ODM brigade will be in Kibera, Nairobi on Thursday to woo residents to support Raila Odinga's presidential bid ahead of the August polls.

Speaking on Wednesday shortly after recording a statement at the DCI Headquarters in Mombasa over alleged forgery of his KCSE certificate, Joho said the party is confident that Raila will be the next president of Kenya.

The ODM deputy party leader hit out at the Jubilee government's constant harassment of opposition leaders, adding that the move will not change their political stand.

Joho asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to focus the energy he is using to harass him to fight corruption in the government and better the lives of Kenyans.

The county boss said only Kenyans have the power to choose their leaders, adding that the Jubilee administration should prepare for defeat come August.

Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi have vowed to criss-cross the country seeking support for Raila in a bid to ensure he rises to power on August 8.
