Outspoken Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has dismissed Jubilee administration as a 'bunch' of land grabbers and urged locals to vote against it in August.
Joho, who has been at loggerheads with President Uhuru Kenyatta, had his bodyguards withdrawn recently by the state over unknown circumstances.
In yet again another jibe to Kenyatta's administration, the ODM deputy leader claimed that coastal residents were duped with 'fake' land tittle deeds.
"We are being treated as second class citizens by this government of land grabbers. They do not have interests of the squatters at heart because they have grabbed our land," he told his followers at Mtwapa on Wednesday.
He added: "That is why they issued fake tittle deeds. We have one chance to register as voters and vote them out in numbers. This is our time to rescue of people."
Last week, a Mombasa High Court nullified thousands of and tittle deeds issued by President Kenyatta on grounds that they were fake.
Joho, who is keen to defend his seat, is also on record for accusing Deputy President William Ruto of allegedly being a land grabber.
