Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho vacated his Nyali home to an unknown place, after the government withdrew his security detail, and sent him new ones, who he sent away.
The ODM deputy party leader rejected the officers assigned to him at his Nyali home, saying he needed them no more.
Joho's 'missing from Nyali home' was known after the four officers who were deployed Monday night, arrived Tuesday morning, only to be asked to go back.
According to Joho's Communications director Richard Chacha, the officers were directed to the wrong house since Joho had moved a day after his security was withdrawn under unclear circumstances. He had also hired new team to take care of the home.
Joho had lived at the Nyali home for about five years.
