Speaking in Kilifi on Tuesday during a voter registration drive, Joho said he is ready to name officers working with the government to manipulate the August elections.

"Jubilee has turned KDF soldiers and other government officials to be their campaigners. We are taking the names of the officers and will reveal them,” said Joho.

The outspoken governor said the Jubilee administration has failed Kenyans, and urged residents to register in large numbers in a bid to send President Uhuru Kenyatta home in the upcoming polls.

This comes after Cord principal Raila Odinga claimed that the Jubilee government is using NIS to register voters in Uganda and Ethiopia, so as to rig the elections.

“We have credible information that the National Intelligence Service (NIS) is once again heavily involved in the on-going voter registration with the aim of influencing results in August in the same way it did in 2007 and 2013,” said Raila.

“NIS interference in the current voter registration involves taking BVR kits across our borders into Uganda and Ethiopia and assisting citizens of the two countries to register in a Kenyan election process. The agency is also assisting citizens of these neighboring countries to acquire Kenyan identification documents then helping them cross into Kenya and register as voters,” he added.
