Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho says ODM’s victory in August polls will be a perfect tribute’ to deceased Kwale senator Boy Juma Boy.
Joho who spoke at Moi International Airport in Mombasa urged Coastal residents to ‘fight’ till end to liberate the country from Jubilee administration.
He was joined with a host of leaders from the region to receive the body of Juma which is set to be buried in Vanga later on Monday.
“He has not died in vain and I want to assure you that we shall liberate this country. He stood firm with people and fought or social rights our people,” said Joho.
“The struggle does not end and we shall pay perfect tribute to him with an empathic victory in August. He was not only our true son but also a father who guided us,” he added.
Juma known for his best oratory on the floor of the house, passed away on Sunday in a Nairobi hospital from what the family termed as blood pressure.
He was first elected to parliament in 1984 to represent Kwale Central people following abrupt demise of his father, Juma Boy.
