Photo/ PSCUMombasa Governor Hassan Joho has said President Uhuru Kenyatta ordered for the freezing of his bank accounts to frustrate him financially. According to Joho, President Kenyatta has hatched a plot to cripple him financially to force him to dance to his tune ahead of the next general poll.The Coast political kingpin, however, maintained that nothing will make him change his political stand, adding that he will not be taken to his grave with the cash in his bank accounts. “I will not be buried with cash. They have closed my accounts and I am not complaining. Money comes from God,” he said, as quoted by The Star. On their part, Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) officials said they are only investigating Joho’s account at Diamond Trust Bank, and not his other accounts at Barclays and Stanbic banks. Joho’s aide Richard Chacha said the decision to freeze his boss’ accounts was implemented immediately he received a letter from the tax man.“The moment they start investigating an account, it’s normally frozen,” he told the Star on Phone.
