Veteran politician Abuya Abuya insists Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho is likely to be the country’s president in 2022 should former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth throws his hut into the ring.
Joho has been a key pillar in ODM's activities in the recent months with many pundits linking him to the 2022 presidential race.
In an exclusive Wednesday’s interview with this reporter, the former Kitutu Masaba MP backed Joho saying he was on the right side of political divide.
“The Kenyan political trend is predictable and when Peter Kenneth joins the race, the DP William Ruto’s chances become slim to the advantage of the Mombasa Governor who is well endowed with resources,” he said.
“He is now experienced in politics and I see his probable victory in 2022. His rise is a blow to the DP who should now go to the drawing board because Joho is in the right political divide assuming that Raila will be in the political scene come 2022,” added the former Seven bearded sister member.
He insisted that the central Kenya votes will be a doubt for Ruto should Kenneth run for presidency giving Joho a huge advantage.
