Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party Leader Raila Odinga has claimed that he has information on a ploy to assasinate Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho beacuse of his political stance.
Joho, who is a critic of the Jubilee administration, recently lectured President Uhuru Kenyatta over hijacking development projects in the county.
Addressing Opposition supporters on Tuesday in Mtwapa, Raila warned of dire consequences should anything happen to Joho.
"We have information that they want to do to Joho what they did to the late Jacob Juma. But let us warn them that Kenya will burn if anything happens to Joho," said Raila, as quoted by The Star.
The opposition leader urged Mombasa residents to register as voters in large numbers in a bid to enable him unseat President Kenyatta.
"The tyranny of numbers at the Coastal region will propel the Opposition into power," he said.
