Mombasa Deputy Governor William Kingi has rubbished the recent defection of former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar to Jubilee, saying the move does not affect NASA numbers in Mombasa and the entire Coast region.Speaking when he led the NASA anti-IEBC protests in Mombasa on Monday, Kingi laughed off the move by a section of Coast politicians to defect to Jubilee, saying they are hunting for jobs.Kingi said that the defectors no longer have influence and that they have nothing to give to Jubilee in terms of numbers.“I want to assure NASA supporters that Coast is firmly in NASA and cannot be swayed by Jubilee’s cheap propaganda,” said Kingi, as quoted by The Star.Kingi further accused Jubilee of using State resources to woo NASA poll losers. He urged residents not be swayed by poll losers and come out in large numbers to vote for NASA presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga in the repeat election.Kingi assured Coast locals that NASA will end the issues facing the region once it takes over power. The Mombasa deputy governor at the same time asked IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba to leave office peacefully, adding that he (Chiloba) will not survive NASA’s heat.
