Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has taken issue with the Jubilee government over the killing of NASA protesters taking part in the anti-IEBC demos.Speaking during a NASA rally in Mombasa on Sunday, the firebrand Governor accused the government of allegedly targeting members of the Luo community in the latest crackdown on anti-IEBC demos."I want to tell Jubilee that the members of the Luo community are Kenyans just like others. We will not keep quiet as you carelessly continue killing members of the Luo community. We have counted, out of the recent 42 people who lost their lives at the hands of the police, 38 are Luos. This cannot continue happening as we watch,” said the ODM deputy party leader.Joho who vowed to defy Interior CS Fred Matiang'i's ban on NASA demos in Kisumu, Nairobi and Mombasa said that holding demonstrations is their constitutional right and no one can stop them."Demonstration is our constitutional right. We will demonstrate whether you like it or not. Kenya is an independent state which is not owned by anybody. Kenya belongs to all of us," added Joho amid cheers from the crowd.
