President Uhuru Kenyatta has asked Mombasa residents to vote him back and reject Governor Joho's re-election bid.

The president said that he has a lot to offer the coastal mwananchi as opposed to the governor who only has empty promises.

While scolding Joho's ‘They promise, We Deliver’ campaign tag, the president said that the governor is like a person operating a kiosk that does not have anything for shoppers.

“I see your Sultan saying ‘we deliver’ but Mombasa is stinking. Is that the delivery? Let us tell each other the truth,” Uhuru said.

“His kiosk has nothing to be sold. If it had, his job would be selling his policies or the goods in his kiosk. But because it is empty, he must insult the one whose kiosk is full,” Uhuru said.

“Which kiosk will you go to? The one which has no flour, sugar...nothing or the one that wants to serve Kenyans, which is Jubilee?”

He was speaking yesterday when he launched Mtongwe Ferry services.
