Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has said he is honored to have witnessed the swearing-in of NASA leader Raila Odinga.

Odinga, took oath of office and declared himself People’s President in a ceremony held at the historic Uhuru Park grounds on Tuesday January 30.

The controversial inauguration saw Odinga read the oath presided over by High Court Advocate (Ruaraka MP) Tom Kajwang, and in the presence of Senior counsel (Siaya senator) James Orengo, and lawyer Miguna Miguna, a former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate.

"I am deeply honored to be present to witness the swearing in of the President of the Republic of Kenya, the Rt.Hon Raila Odinga," said Joho.

"Since I was young, I have always believed a country has to stand with the truth. It has been a long journey. But today, Kenya’s moment of truth is here. May God bless you and give you many years, Mr. President," he added shortly after the ceremony.

Odinga's deputy Kalonzo Musyoka, and two co-principals Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula skipped.
