Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka risks losing elections should he remain in Jubilee Party, Kanduyi ,MP Wafula Wamunyinyi has observed.
Lusaka, a former permanent Secretary, has been a key points man for President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party.
On Monday, Lusaka and Deputy President William Ruto had to abort a meeting scheduled to take place in Bungoma town after rowdy youths blocked their convoy.
"Western Kenya remains an opposition team and that is a fact. Lusaka has no choice other than returning home for his own political future," he said.
He added: "Jubilee promised the people of western Kenya heaven but nothing concrete has been forthcoming. Lusaka must make urgent decision."
Lusaka is facing strong opposition from former assistant minister Alfred Khangati, who is set to contest on an ODM ticket.
