Speaking in a media briefing after launching the buses as well as Prados to be used during the Saturday counter Jubilee rally at Mama Ngina drive on Thursday afternoon, the governor said that Orange Democratic Party is very strong and will never be shaken by defectors.

The Mombasa Governor said that the Saturday celebrations to mark ODM 10 years old is just the beginning of a strong campaign scheduled all over the country before the end of the year and more planned rallies early January 2017.

“We are not weak as Jubilee purports, we will send Jubilee home on the 8th of August 2017,” reiterated Joho.

The ODM deputy party leader accused Jubilee leaders of using public funds in launching its party on Saturday insisting that ODM will only use money from its members and not embezzle public funds.

“If there is anyone who feels like moving to Jubilee Alliance party- JAP please let them go. We are already replacing them and recruiting more members as well,” added Joho.

The ODM 10 at 10 celebrations slated on the 10th of September this year will see the party using over 820 branded vehicles as a way to counter Jubilee efforts in party politics superiority.

ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga is expected in Mombasa on Friday at 4 pm before the procession begins at the Moi International Airport at Changamwe in Mombasa before the big day on Saturday at Mama Ngina drive near the Likoni ferry channel.

At the same time, Jubilee leaders are also on the final touches to launch their new political party on Saturday at Kasarani in Nairobi.

However, most of ODM diehard members now seem to be crossing over to Jubilee, causing wrangles among the political divide.
