Speaking in his constituency over the weekend, Mumias East Member of Parliament Benjamin Washiali said that the 2017 polls will be a two-horse race stuck between the ruling Jubilee coalition and the opposition team.

"For our brother Mudavadi to subsist the political tide, he needs to be in Jubilee or Cord. But Jubilee is the best house for him," Washiali said.

Resounding the same message were Western Kenya MPs David Were, Malulu Injendi, Bernard Shinali and Emmanuel Wangwe who said Jubilee was the force to watch in 2017.

The notable MP said Jubilee had grown a lot of support from all regions in the country and grown more authoritative.

In 2013, Western, Coast, North Eastern, and the Maasai land never braced Jubilee. Even me, I didn’t vote for Uhuru Kenyatta. But this time round, Jubilee is gaining a lot of support from these regions and growing sturdier,’ Washiali was further quoted.

"We don’t want to misinform our people. As we think of politics, let us think of the improvement of our people. They can only feel good and realise development if they are in government," Washiali said.

The MP exposed that Western region was heating up to the president’s party and dared the majority to come out and show their full backing to the party.

He observed that the formation of one united national coalition folding all Kenyans under one political roof was meant to rally unity and ideas in an incorporated direction towards national unity.
