Kisii county Deputy governor Joash Maangi has called upon former MPs Sam Ongeri and Omingo Magara to join the Jubilee party promising that the party will guarantee them fair nominations.
Maangi who was recently appointed the Jubilee point man in the area further told the duo that the party will rally behind the winning candidate after the nominations and support his bid.
Both Ongeri and Magara lost the Kisii senatorial race to incumbent Chris Obure at the 2013 polls. Interestingly Obure who was elected on the ODM ticket has lately been warming up to Jubilee and has been spearheading the Kisii unity caucus alongside Maangi.
Maangi who spoke Tuesday in his Kisii backyard further defended his endorsement of former Constitution Implementation Commission (CIC) boss Charles Nyachae for the Kisii senatorial seat terming the decision as personal.
