Deputy President William Ruto has called upon Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong to join the Jubilee brigade.
Speaking on Friday in Busia County, the DP also expressed his belief that the Jubilee Party will clinch power again in the next polls, and said that he would not want anybody from the Luhya nation to be left out of the government including the Governor who is strongly allied to the opposition block, CORD.
''This time round we must approach the polls together, myself and the President will ensure that you are a part of us and we will not leave you at any cost, we must be one and win the coming elections together,'' he said. '
William Ruto, who was accompanying President Kenyatta in the tour that also saw the President launch the construction of the Busia-Malaba Road, further asked the people to embrace the Jubilee party, saying that it is the only political outfit with the solution to Kenyans troubles and problems.
The Western region largely voted for former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in the 2013 general elections and is still deemed to be the opposition stronghold, probably the reason why the Jubilee leaders are on a mission to level the ground ahead of the next polls dated for August next year.
The team has also since been able to attract a number of leaders from the region and nationaly who have moved over and announced their new allegiance to the recently launched party.
The leaders who mostly have defected from the Orange Party include John Waluke of Sirisia constituency have vowed to vie for their seats in the coming polls in the new outfit.
