Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has promised to support Governor Patrick Khaemba's gubernatorial bid if he joins Jubilee.

The Trans Nzoia governor was elected on a Ford Kenya party ticket. Ford Kenya is an affiliate of Coalition for reforms and Democracy (Cord).

Mandago said if Khaemba decamps to Jubilee he will have higher chances of bargaining for the hotly contested seat.

He assured the Trans Nzoia boss of support from Jubilee leaders.

“I promise you of my support if you decamp to Jubilee party. Because of my support you will retain your seat,” Mandago told his Trans Nzoia counterpart.

Mandago was speaking when he attended Nandi cultural festival in Kipeikei, Cherangany constituency.
