Former Kakamega Senator Dr. Boni Khalwale has advised Deputy President William Ruto to join NASA Co-principals; Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wentangula and Kalonzo Musyoka ahead of 2022 presidential elections.
Khalwale, however, did not mention the NASA chief Raila Odinga.
Speaking in Trans Nzoia county during the homecoming ceremony of Kiminini Member of Parliament Chris Wamalwa, Khalwale claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila Odinga, and Senator Gideon Moi are working together to ensure Ruto’s ambitions of clinching the country’s top seat does not come true.
This comes few days after Ruto visited former president Daniel Moi at his home in Kabarak but failed to meet him, an incident which sparked a lot of political reactions.
Ruto’s allies and some political analysts claimed that Senator Moi was behind Ruto’s ‘embarassment’.
"There is collusion between Raila, Uhuru, and Gideon who were born in rich families to finish Ruto politically, that is why I urge him to join other opposition leaders to outdo his detractors in 2022. Raila and Uhuru are children of presidents and deputy presidents and want to protect their dynasties and cannot allow the son of a peasant to outdo them. I want to remind Ruto we are on the other hand children of peasants and can work effectively together,” said Khalwale.
